Biography

Catherine Bevan, MD grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Fort Worth Country Day School. She completed her undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

She completed both medical school and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was honored with the Outstanding Resident Award by the Southwestern Gynecologic Assembly. She also spent an additional year as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern, specializing in gynecologic surgery and emergency women’s care.

Dr. Bevan has conducted research in family planning and gynecologic cancer. She has presented her research at the Western Association of Gynecologic Oncologists. She has also volunteered for a number of efforts, including a pediatric rotation in Bangalore, India and a family health program in Oaxaca, Mexico. She and her husband, Scott, are the proud parents of Zachary and Natalie.

Dr. Bevan is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Texas Medical Association, and a member of the American Medical Association.
