Biography

Dr. Garda was born and raised in southeastern Michigan.  She attended University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate education in South Bend, Indiana. She later earned an M.B.A. at University of Pittsburgh and worked in Chicago and in Ft. Worth prior to attending the University of North Texas Health Science Center, TCOM.  After earning her medical degree, she completed her Internship and Residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth.  She served as a teaching faculty physician for the JPS Ob-Gyn residency after graduation as well as Clerkship Director for Ob-Gyn at UNTHSC TCOM medical school.  She later served as Medical Director of Acclaim Women’s Health Klabzuba operations.

An experienced board-certified OB-Gyn physician, Dr. Garda offers care for every stage of a woman’s life, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Her services include care of normal and high-risk pregnancies, preconception counseling, well-woman annual health visits, and minimally invasive surgery for ovarian and uterine issues.

In addition to starting her private practice with Texas Health Care Privia Medical Group, Dr. Garda will also be serving as Program Director for the new obstetrics and gynecology residency at Baylor All Saints starting in 2022.

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Garda enjoys biking, being outdoors, live music, college football (Go Irish!) and spending time with her husband and 4 sons.  “I am so excited to be able to start a private practice in Ft. Worth at Texas Health Care.  Having spent my entire medical career in Ft. Worth, I am thrilled to care for the women of our community, and I truly strive to encourage, educate and empower women at all stages of life.”
